1, Compliant with standards: Meet the requirements of GB8323.2-2008 "Plastics Smoke Generation Part 2: Single Chamber Method for Determining Smoke Density" and ISO5659.2-2006 "Plastics Smoke Generation Part 2: Single Chamber Method for Determining Optical Density" test standards.
2, Scope of application: Suitable for measuring the specific optical density of smoke generated during plastic combustion, and taking the maximum specific optical density as the test result. It is used to evaluate the smoking performance of plastics under specified conditions.
The plastic smoke density tester is a new type of testing equipment developed based on the technical conditions specified in the standard GB/8323.2-2008 and ISO5659-2 "Plastic smoke generation - Part 2: Single chamber method for measuring smoke density".
3, Main parameters: The entire instrument consists of a closed test chamber, a photometer measurement system, a radiation cone, a combustion system, an igniter, a test box, a bracket, a temperature measuring instrument, and smoke density testing software; The circuit is developed using a microcontroller, with high technical content and stable performance. This instrument is suitable for all plastics and can also be used for the evaluation of other materials (such as rubber, textile coverings, painted surfaces, wood, and other materials). It is widely used in production factories and research and testing units in the plastic and solid materials industries.
1. Test box: The front door is equipped with a window and an opaque sunshade that can block the movement of the window.
The bottom of the square box is equipped with explosion-proof aluminum foil to prevent overpressure. It is a safety bursting disc composed of 0.04mm thickness, 405mm length, 200mm width, and a total area of 81000mm². The box is equipped with an internal pressure regulating device (Figure 2).
Light window: There are two Ø 75mm light windows on the top and bottom, and a 9W circular electric heater is installed below the light window to ensure the temperature of the upper surface of the light window (50℃~55℃ is suitable) to minimize the smoke concentration on the surface. The upper light window is located at the top of the test box, and an 8mm thick optical platform is installed around the light window outside the test box. The optical platform is fixed with a Ø 15mm metal rod that can connect the fixed platform and the test box.

Material: Composed of three layers: outer layer of 1.5mm thick steel plate, high-temperature electrostatic baking off white paint, middle layer of 60mm thick asbestos layer, inner layer of 1.2mm thick USU304 stainless steel, high-temperature electrostatic baking black paint, easy to clean.
Air inlet and exhaust outlet: The air inlet is installed on the top of the test box, with a diameter of Φ 65mm, controlled by a flanged solenoid valve in both closed and closed states; The exhaust port is installed at the bottom on the left, with a diameter of Φ 80mm, controlled by a flanged solenoid valve in both closed and closed states, and equipped with an exhaust fan.
2. Optoelectronic measurement system: composed of power supply, photomultiplier tube, amplifying transparent film, shutter, filter, neutral transparent film, lens, optical system dark box, light source, and light window heater.
Light source: composed of a 6.5V incandescent lamp, a transformer providing power (input 220V output 6.5V), and a variable resistor.
Installation: The light bulb is installed in an opaque dark box at the bottom of the test box, consisting of a light source, convex lens, light window heater, and optical window.
Light window actuator: powered by AC220V, surrounded by 9W resistance wire, to ensure the temperature of the surface of the light window (50℃~55℃) is appropriate.

Convex lens: With a diameter of 51mm, it has been adjusted and calibrated to form a ring with a diameter of 51mm without any other beams of light outside the ring.
Optical window: composed of unobstructed transparent film and dark box.
Photodetector: composed of photomultiplier tube, amplification filter, shutter, filter, neutral filter, convex lens, optical window, etc.
Parameters of photomultiplier tube: voltage: DC 1000V, power supply: input 12V, output 0-1200V2mA
Optoelectronic system processing: The photodetector is a photomultiplier tube connected to an A/D number template and processed by a multi-stage amplification microcomputer. Can continuously measure the transmittance of the corresponding optical density over time, which is 5 quantities of spectral sensitivity response, similar to the response of the naked eye and dark current below 0.001uA. The minimum sensitivity of a photomultiplier tube can be 100% read through a 0.5 neutral filter and an ND-2 amplification filter on the optical path.
Amplification filter: ND-2.0 with a transmittance of 0.95% and A light source color temperature K=2854.
Light gate: used for baffle and correction of 0% transmittance.
Filter: To compensate for the filter, there are a total of 11 pieces with optical densities ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 and 2.0.
Neutral filter: ND-0.5, transmittance 31.7%, A light source color temperature K=2854.
Convex lens: With a diameter of 51mm, the direct beam of light can be focused into a small strong spot at the transparent plate between the upper and lower dark boxes.
Calibration of optical systems: Detection using a neutral filter with an optical density of 3.0 and a wavelength of 550-650nm.
3. Radiation cone: composed of heating elements with a rated power of 2600W, capable of providing 10KW/㎡~50KW/㎡ radiation intensity at the center of the sample surface. When testing the irradiance at two other positions 25mm away from the center of the sample, the irradiance at these two positions must not be lower than 85% of the irradiance at the center of the sample.
Radiation cone heater: powered by an independent power source, with a single-phase isolation transformer power of 3000W. The temperature control adopts thyristor control with fast cycle, which can stabilize the temperature at ± 2 ℃.
Heat flow meter: A flat area with a range of 50kw/㎡ and a receiving radiation area diameter of 10mm. The surface is coated with matte black and cooled by water cooling.
4. Igniter: The igniter nozzle is composed of Φ Made of 4.0mm aperture copper tube, the flame length and horizontal measurement are 30mm.
Gas supply system:
