Mainly used to determine the non combustible performance of plastics or films under direct combustion from a specified fire source to determine their fire resistance rating.

Compliant with standards:

Combustion chamber:

The box body is larger than 1 cubic meter and is processed and formed using CNC machine tools. The circular arc shape is beautiful and generous. High quality SUS304 stainless material/baking paint has the characteristics of beauty, rust prevention, and corrosion prevention.

The top of the box is equipped with a ventilation and smoke exhaust system, which can discharge the exhaust gas to the outside after the test is completed; During the experiment, the system was in a stopped state.

There is a tempered glass observation window on the front of the box that can be sealed during the test process, making it easy to observe the test situation.

Combustion blowtorch:

Our company's self-made blowtorch fully meets the requirements of ASTM D 5025-99.

Standard power: 500W adjustable, suitable for vertical and horizontal combustion.

The diameter of the nozzle is 9.5 ± 0.03mm, the length of the nozzle light is 160 ± 0.05mm, and the height of the nozzle from the air inlet is 100 ± 10mm

Spray angle: adjustable horizontally at 90 degrees and vertically at 45 degrees, naturally aspirated, with an inner flame of 12-40mm and an outer flame of 20-125mm, adjustable.

Steam nozzle: Ф 0.9 ± 0.03mm,

Temperature measurement system:

Thermal sensors (copper conduits and thermocouples) - The conduit structure should be electrolytic copper with extremely high conductivity. Length is 19.14 ± 0.02mm

K-type thermocouple with a wire diameter of 0.5mm.

The intelligent PID temperature control meter is matched with the K-type thermocouple. Its reading can be increased by 1000 ℃.

Main fixtures:

Test bracket: made of stainless steel, divided into horizontal bracket and vertical bracket. The vertical bracket is parallel to the plane where the spray lamp is located and the observation window plane, making it easy to observe and operate.

Wedge frame: Add wedges, install the spray lamp on the wedges as required, and make it easy to move while accurately returning to the designated position.

Equipped with a set of rulers that can measure the internal and external flames during horizontal and vertical combustion.

Equip a stainless steel ruler with a precision of 500mm to 1mm for testing purposes.

Standard sample specifications: 125mm long, 13mm wide, 3 < thickness < 13mm (or according to test standards)

Operating system:

The relay control system adopts well-known domestic/foreign brands for all components, ensuring quality while better ensuring the accuracy of the test.

Burning timing: When the burning nozzle reaches the designated position, the spraying time is automatically recorded (according to the regulations, such as burning for 15 seconds). The tester observes the set time and automatically moves the nozzle away when the spraying time reaches the instant.

Holding combustion timer: When the above combustion timer reaches, this timer automatically counts; If within a specified time (such as stopping the fire supply for 15 seconds), during this process, if the flame of the burned sample extinguishes, a second combustion is carried out and the first combustion process is repeated.

Delayed combustion timer: If it does not go out within the specified time in the previous step, start another delayed combustion timer. If it goes out within the specified delayed combustion time, repeat the first combustion test. If it does not go out within the specified time, the test is directly judged as failed.

Gas flow range: 10-1000mL/min;

Ignition method: High voltage electronic ignition.

This device is placed in a non ventilated environment for testing.

How to understand UL94HB, UL94-V0, UL94-V1, UL94-V2

The flame retardant rating of plastics increases gradually from HB, V-2, V-1 to V-0:

UL94V0, V1, V2 are different flame retardant grades, and their levels are different. The testing methods for flame resistance are also different, and the standards for testing and judgment are also different

The testing method for V0 is to tilt the test object 45 degrees, ignite it with an alcohol lamp, remove the ignition source, and turn it off within 10 seconds

The testing methods for V1 and V2 are the same as V0, but the difference is that after moving to open source, the shutdown time is longer than V0,

That is to say, V0 has the best flame retardancy, V1 ranks second, V3 ranks third, and V4 has the same flame retardancy as non flame retardants

HB: The lowest flame retardant rating in UL94 standard. Require a combustion rate of less than 40 millimeters per minute for samples 3 to 13 millimeters thick; Samples less than 3 millimeters thick have a combustion rate of less than 70 millimeters per minute; Or turn off before the 100mm mark.

V-2: After conducting two 10 second combustion tests on the sample, the flame extinguishes within 30 seconds. Can ignite cotton below 30cm.

V-1: After conducting two 10 second combustion tests on the sample, the flame extinguishes within 30 seconds. Cannot ignite cotton below 30cm.

V-0: After two 10 second combustion tests on the sample, the flame extinguishes within 10 seconds. No combustibles should fall.

Compliant with standards: Meet the testing requirements of GB/T2408-2008, GB13488, ISO1210, UL94 V-0 V-1 V-2, ASTM D635, D4804, 3801, IEC707, and IEC 60695-11-10:1999 standards.
